Would they allow my DD(8) to order from the adult menu every once in a while? She really loves some of the choices on the adult menu.::earsgirl:

Your daughter can order anything she would like to have from the adult menu at any time.
In reverse, you can order anything that you would like to have from the children's menu at any time also.
They don't really care where you order from.

Absolutely! And you can order as many appetizers, entrees or desserts as you or she wishes!

Often our server will just pick out things for us (he knows us well) and the table will be full of food - fortunately, we have had table mates that are adventuresome in their culinary tastes!

Also, another thing - if you find you like a certain food, ask the server if you can have it again. Our server knows that our son loves the chicken wing appetizers, so he mentioned to us that if we remind him at the beginning of our cruise, Michael can have it every night!!!

If notified ahead of time, special meals can often be made.

Enjoy!

On our last cruise, a young boy at our table asked if they had garlic bread.
The server did not know what it was.
Once it was explained to him he said he would see what he could do.
The next night garlic bread showed up at the boy's plate and every night for the rest of the cruise too.

You are most welcome, Tammy Bell. It's taken a lot of cruises for me to learn all of this and I am sure that I will learn more on future cruises.

Try the orange-mango soup upon embarkation. If you like it, you can ask to have it made up since it is NOT offered again. I like it in a glass, over ice with a dash of rum!! Honestly!

I enjoyed seeing how the servers watch what you eat then start making recommendations. One little girl (about 4) just ate the raspberries from her fruit cup, so the next night she had a bowl of raspberries waiting for her! The servers really do go out of their way and I am very posessive of my servers (and my stateroom)!!

Any more questions, just ask - love to talk about the food on the ship!!

On our March 2001 cruise DD wanted strawberries the first night. Our server went out of his way to get her a dinner plate full of strawberries that were cut into animal and flower shapes. Every night for the rest of the cruise she had pizza and strawberries for dinner. We still talk about her meals to this day.

On the kids menu is the wonderful Mickey ice cream bar that you pay $2.50 for in the park. Eat all you can!!!

One question-- If you dont have kids in your group can you ask for a kids menu? or just randomly ask if they have certin dishes
?
Im a sucker for mac and cheese and well frankly Im a little afraid of being that much of an adventerous eater... :)

Sure you can ask to see the children's menu.
They have stuff like chicken noodle soup, plain fruitcups, hot dogs, mac/cheese and MICKEY BARS on the kids menu.
I sometimes will order the chicken noodle soup if whatever is on the adult menu does not appeal to me.

Oh yeah! The Mickey Bars are my favorite dessert, if I have dessert at all. They are light, creamy and you can have more than one!

The Mac and Cheese is very good (I sampled Michael's). He likes the chicken soup also. We just give him a choice of what he wants and he never takes more than he can eat, so we are lucky there. (I hate to waste food)

I loved the story about the strawberries - like I said, those servers are the ones who make our trip so special!!
