We will be staying at Saratoga Springs in June, we will have 5 kids total (8,7,5,3,2). I was wondering if there are any activities other than the pool and the arcade. I know sometimes there are fun things that are not posted on the websites and I have been searching.

my kids love SSR community hall--in fact, it might be the best at dVC. There are daily activities--such as painting, ceramics, etc., which are posted in your check-in sheet---but you can also go over and just hang out. My youngest liked coloring and the older ones played PS2s with tons of Disney games. There are games and tables where you can play also, including toddler games. They also have a sofa and big screen TV with Disney movie playing.
We went over for several hours each day--it's an especially good break after lunch/early afternoon/when it's likely to rain and you can't go in pool.

3X a week the have movies at pool on blow up screen at around 8 or 9 PM. They also do pool games most afternoons by the big pool--hula hoop contests, water balloon toss, etc.

Some activities have a fee (small) and some are free. Everything from making/decorating backpacks, to pin trading, stickers. Tons of activities! Some are held at Community Hall and some are held up at the Carriage House. All of the times/prices/details will be given to you when you check in.

The Welcome Home pool party on Sunday afternoons is an absolute blast! DS11 won the hula hooping contest for his age group and got Disney/Pixar Monopoly :cool1: They even had the adults hula hooping :rotfl:

BTW, I totally agree with PP that SSR has the best Community Hall! My kids are 15 & 11, and we barely see them at SSR because they love hanging out at Community Hall :goodvibes

We stayed there a couple of nights and my 3 year old grandson had fun at the community hall! They were going to have a model painting activity for children 4 and up. They were little wooden cars about 4" long. Since he was the only one there they let him paint one even though he wasn't really "old enough." I thought it was really sweet of the cm, as she offered him a chance to do one!
He also colored about 5 pictures and we rented him some movies!
All in all it really gave us a nice afternoon break!

The activities schedule you will receive has stuff going on almost every hour all day. Pool activities every afternoon, pin trading sessions, crafts, a wooden pony parade, evening poolside movies, you wil see there is tons to do!

That's all good to know. We are 1 week away from our first DVC stay. The kids, 7 & 4, were thrilled with the Community Hall when we did our tour.
