If the kids need to carry their "Key to the World" card with them, what is the best way for a 9 & 12 year old?
Also, do they ever let kids bump up to the next age group - ex. age 12 going to the teen stuff??
Thanks
When your kids register in the Lab, they get a name tag with a slot for their KTTW card. This is the easiest way for them to carry it.
The Lab kids do occasionally invade The Stack (but only when it isn't yet open for the teens.)
That is the one place that they are the strictest about not moving kids up in the programming. We were told absolutely that our 12 year old could not participate in teen programs (after multiple cruises where she was of Lab age). However, she celebrated her 13th birthday on a later cruise, and was delighted with the teen programs. As mom who saw the teen programming, I was delighted that she/we had been denied on the earlier cruise. There's really no reason for a 12 year old to be in programs with 17 year olds. Yes, they do split the groups to 13-14 and 15-17, but much of the time the groups are together. DD is a very mature girl who takes classes at the local university--and DCL was still correct in not allowing age 12 to be in 13-17s.
The official policy for bumping kids up is that they have to be within 30 days of the birthday that would put them in the next age group AND have permission of the counsellors.
