We are in the process of planning a return trip to WDW and already the excitement is building!

I'm looking for suggestions for my DD's birthday meal...not really set on which meal but I'm thinking dinner most likely. She will be turning 5 so I want something super special and fun for her.

We will have the dining plan so it would be great if it was something that accepted that since we are traveling with family friends as well.

Any suggestions would be great!!! Thanks!

If she's into princesses, try Akershus in Norway. The food is good, 5 or 6 princesses walk around and visit during your meal, and a photo package is included when you dine there. (They take your picture with a princess before you are seated and deliver it before you leave.)
Chef Mickey's is always fun and Crystal Palace (Winnie the Pooh and friends) is a good buffet. 1900 Park Fare is also really nice. Cinderella, Prince Charming, the wicked step-mother and step-sisters are there for dinner. They can be really funny! They also invite the kids to dance with them.
My daughter is almost 6 years old and we've been taking her for the past three years. She loves all of those places. Have fun!

If she's never been to the castle, that's where I'd go! I'd also schedule an appointment to get her hair done and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! That's what we're doing for my DD for her 4th birthday :). If you don't want to use 2 credits, then I'd do Akershus in Epcot.

Thanks for the ideas!! We thought about doing 1900 for dinner but had heard mixed reviews, glad to see someone that still enjoys it.

That's what we did with my son who turned 6 during our last trip. We were there for 4 nights and I added his celebration to every meal. Each place did something different and he loved it every time. They even gave him a cupcake a breakfast at Hollywood and Vine.

Make sure you get her a birthday button when you check in!

Have a super time.

Have you told the reservations agent that you will be celebrating a birthday? I recommend it. At character meals they will give her a card signed by the characters and probably a fancy cupcake, too. Makes it extra special. And we have done 1900 Park Fare for the past three years and aside from sometimes longer waits for our ADR, we have all enjoyed the buffet. I also really like the mini dessert buffet; get a little bit of everything!
