Kiddo sick right before Disney trip-oh no!

We leave Saturday morning. Yesterday my DD woke up with a fever. I took her in b/c she said her ear hurt (which later changed to her elbow, her knee, and her tummy, LOL). Ears, nose, and throat clear.

By 10am at the Dr.'s her temp. was back down to normal. She played and ate well all day. Took a regular nap and no recurrence of fever UNTIL 2:30 this morning when it was back.

She got some Tylenol at 7:30 and it was able to keep her fever down. I am having to stop her from jumping all around. She is hungry and eating and drinking as if she is 100% okay.

I am hoping she is okay tomorrow so I have no worries about taking her. In my pre-Disney panic i have already thought of how we can split the days so my DH and I can take turns in the park with my older son if DD stays feeling crummy, LOL.

aaaggghhh this is a kid who is rarely sick and of course it happens right before we leave (but I guess better before we leave than there!)

I feel your pain! We leave Saturday also and DD(almost)2 woke up yesterday with a bit of a cough. She woke up today with a runny nose. No fever so I’m hoping it’s just a simple cold. I’ve turned on the humidifier and rubbed on some Vicks on her chest and back before bedtime. I’m going alone with her so I don’t want to be stuck indoors!

I hope she feels better soon! I know the feeling, leave it to me to book a trip right during flu season...we both had H1N1 and then got vaccinated for it anyway just in case...but now there's this nasty 24 hour stomach bug going around that's just aweful...I'm waiting for us to get it.
