Last October when I took my DGD7 to WDW she loved making the mask at all the Kidcot stations and dropping her "dreams" into the net during the Tapestry of Dreams parade. In June, she was all fired up and had worked on her mask in three or four countries, but when I mentioned that they no longer had the ToD parade, she didn't care to work on the mask any more. She said that dropping her "dreams" in the net was the best part. Anyone else have a simular thing happen with the mask/parade?

We had always kept the mask-making as a separate thing from the parade, so although we missed having the parade, we still were happy to make the masks. My kids never quite understood the idea of dropping their dreams into the net, so they didn't miss that part.

Georgina,
Our kids were the same way. The idea of parting with anything related to Epcot, was unacceptable. They still play with them more the spinning pooh flashlight (that I shelled out major $$$'s for).

My son and my nieces loved the masks and kidcot stations when we were there last month. Maybe since they didn't know anything about the parade.

I say we all get together, make some masks and march around the WS with a boombox blasting the music from the parade. Every so often we can have a person in the parade holding a sign saying "BRING BACK THE PARADE!"

whos with me?

I loved that parade. I liked Tapestry of Nations better than Dreams. The Sage of Time was really cool. It was one of my favorite things to do; watch the parade and wait for ROE.

We have the Millenium CD with the music. It gets played alot.

I'm with you stacy6552.... My kids still enjoyed making the masks (we told them ahead of time that the parde was not longer there), but it was much, much better when they were able to put the dreams in! I will definately be willing to hold a sign that says BRING BACK THE PARADE!
