:cool1:Hellooooooooo!

It's been forever since I posted here! I'm so glad to be back.

I was looking for information on parking at Kidani Village and found everything I needed to know right here!

But I have one more question.....well, maybe a few!

1. We are booking a standard view one-bedroom villa. It's my husband and me and MAYBE two adult children if they can swing it. What area of Kidani should I request on my reservation?

2. Is the difference in price worth booking a savannah view room? For us, it's a big jump! We usually stay at Saratoga Springs but we are splurging on this week long vacation. So upgrading to savannah view would be even more outside of the budget!

3. Any other room requests I should consider?

Thanks so much! I am so very excited about this upcoming trip in March 2014!

I don't know anything at all about points. We have a travel agent that we've used for years. She gets us any and all discounts Disney offers if available. How does renting points differ from just paying?

"Renting points" is purchasing a DVC reservation from a member who makes the reservation using their points. DVC is a timeshare. Sometimes members can't use all their points and will make reservations for others using their points. However, a DVC points stay is different from a cash stay.

You get limited services from housekeeping with a DVC stay. If you stay seven nights or less, you get your trash removed and towels replaced on day four (day one is check in day). If you stay eight nights or more, you get a full service cleaning on day four and trash and towel service on day eight. You can't just ask for more towels from housekeeping because members (or others staying on a DVC reservation) pay for everything they ask for outside of normal services. It's a way to keep annual member fees down.

As to a standard villa at KV, you will have a parking lot or pool view (across the parking lot). You might get a partial savanna view. For us, we don't stay at AKV unless we have a savanna view. KV is shaped like a 3 and the outer edges of the 3 are the standard view. Parking is underneath the building, but there is some parking outside adjacent to the building. So parking is the first floor and the villas start on the second floor.

What's nice with the one bedroom villa at KV is the extra bathroom at the entrance to the villa and the extra sleeper chair in the living room. If your two adult children don't plan on sleeping together, this works out for them.

I never thought we would be able to stay at AK in villas because of the cost but I wound up renting points through a reputable site and managed to get it significantly below any of the discounts Disney was offering. You should definitely look into doing this as you can probably save money.
