Kidani Studio Request

We will be staying in a Standard View studio next Month and was looking for any specific requests to make during my online check-in. I heard there may be some standard studios with a partial savannah view, is this true and if so what should I request to try and get one of these rooms? My boys are young so I also thought about trying to get a room close to the bus stop to help avoid those long walks at the end of the day.

We had a savannah view in a standard in March. We were in 7637 which was near the Rafiki elevator. We were on the floor above the parking garage I believe, same floor as the lobby. We could see the pool to the left and the savannah to the right. We saw tons of animals. The day we checked in, we walked out on the balcony to see okapi standing there.

If you look at a map of Kidani that shows each sections room numbers and savanna views, those just past the pool (ending in 34 to 41) are not savanna views, but you have a slight view into them. You can not ask for them specifically when doing on line check in, but you might be able to ask for them when you arrive. For these rooms, I think the higher you are , the better. That is not the case in a true Savanna view room.

If you request near Rafiki elevator and high floor and get it, you will see the pool area, have the shortest possible walk to the pool (via the Rafiki elevator), and some view of the south end of the Pembe savanna to the right from your balcony. If you request a room near the standard view Grand Villas and get it, you will have a standard view room that was converted from savanna view and will actually directly overlook Pembe savanna, but walk to lobby and bus stop will be long. To make either of those requests, you need to copntact MS and not use the online check-in system to make a request for room location (you just skip that portion of the online check-in).

We rented points so if I want to make the request of a room near the standard view Grand Villas I need to have the person I rented points from make that request? I assume then I would not make any requests on my online-check in I can do myself then?

yes you would have to ask the member you rented from to make the req. We rented pts last fall and had the member req sunset savanna for our savanna view and got it! It is not always a guarantee it will happen, but you can try. Best of luck!
