Kidani Standard Views....

None of the villas actually overlook the pool. You see the pool just beyond the parking lot. It's not like BWV and BCV where the pool is right outside the villas.

Didn't realize there was a parking lot in between! Thanks Deb & Bill!!!

It's not really a parking lot, but, the porte cochere area in front of the lobby....there may be a few check-in parking spaces there. And, some of the standard view rooms do have a better pool view than others. We were in a 1 bdrm lock-off 2nd floor for our March, 2011 trip which was directly overlooking the porte cochere. At first I thought it would be noisy, but, as long as we kept the balcony doors closed it wasn't at all. We're booked in another 1 bdrm standard for mid-December.....however, this time I did request top floor.....hoping we're a little further down the building closer to the pool since those rooms do have a fairly good pool view. However, I don't know if any of the 2 bdrms are dedicated.

This aerial view shows the parking lot that Deb & Bill mentioned. It's on the ground level, the same level as the parking garage. It's hard to tell from this photo but the rooms are on floors 2 -5 so even on the second floor you are one level up from this lot. The pool area is in between ground level and the lobby level. If your room is in this section the fastest route to the pool is to take the elevator down to the parking garage and walk across the parking area. It's not very pretty but it's faster than walking to the lobby and taking the walkway all the way back to the pool.

Oh yes......I did forget about the small parking area shown here. We were in a 2nd floor room which would be in the upper right corner of this aerial view (sort of overlooking the sidewalk to the pool) and it was fine. However, I do think an upper floor above that small parking area next to pool would still give you a great view of the pool since if you're higher up you will be looking outward and down.....not directly down and that parking area is a very narrow lot......only a narrow driving lane and one row of less than 20 parking spaces.

I agree. The lot doesn't really spoil the view, especially if you are on a higher floor. That's why I went looking for a photo that shows how small the lot is. Unfortunately the aerial view flattens the perspective, making it hard to see that the lot is at ground level, below the balcony level of even the lowest level rooms.

The same is true for the valet lot in front of the other wing of Kidani. It's at ground level so even those on the lowest floor won't have it directly in their line of sight.

It's unfortunate to have a parking lot, even a small one like this, in between the building and the pool but compromises had to be made to maximize the number of savanna view rooms at Kidani. The lot is not large and won't be an issue for most guests unless they choose to dwell on it.

This is great info thanks everyone!!!

The last time we had standard view we were on the 2nd floor. That's probably why it seemed so glaring to me. The parking lot stripes glared through the sheers in the living room and I hated it!!! Next time I'll request a high floor and close to the pool and hope for the best.
