For anyone that has been to Kidani I need a little help. I will be going in Sept. If I understand correctly there is no counter service option at Kadina Villige but you can certaily go to the "other" (original) Lodge for the counter service. My questions are: Is there no counter service at Kadina and did you find this created a bigger crown in the Lodge couter service area?

You heard correct, there is no counter service at kidani.
As for your second question, no I did not find the counter service at Jambo House to be any more crowded than normal because the lack of counter service at Kidani.
You should know that its not just a quick stroll to Jambo from Kidani, its a pretty good distance and most people won"t walk there just for counter service.

You can, however, take the Disney bus from Kidani to Jambo. Park buses stop at Kidani first, then go to Jambo. Downtown Disney buses go to Jambo first, then Kidani.

I'm so glad you pointed this out! When we stayed at Kidani, we hopped on the first park bus that came and went over to Mara. It was about five minutes from arrival at Kidani's bus stop until we were dropped off at Jambo's bus stop. Then we hopped on a DTD bus back to Kidani. It was simple and painless! :thumbsup2

the bar at the pool has bento boxes with burgers etc.

Thanks to all! As usual, not only did I get an answer but some great additional info on the bus travel!

The walk from lobby to lobby is about 10 minutes. Not bad at all on a pretty day.

I sort of griped at first about having to hike from one spot to the other for CS breakfast, but then I thought about the stroll at OKW and SSR, and it didn't seem bad at all.

Getting from Kidani from Jambo isn't hard on park buses, but early in the morning, good luck on getting a DD bus for the return trip!

Just one more thought. Don't overlook Saana at Kidani. It is not quick service, but full service and has an excellent menu. There is also a great view of the savannah from the restaurant.:thumbsup2
