The drawing they published last year shows seven segments on each side of the lobby. That drawing also showed each segment being two villas deep which is not how it's being built so I'm not sure how much of the original drawing is still accurate. But it does seem to match the shape and layout of the actual structure. If the first three segments had non-savanna facing rooms, they would have had a view of the AKL employee parking lot -- not too nice. Once you get to the fourth segment, the non-savanna side faces the grounds of Kidani Village so the view improves quite a bit by that point.

Does anyone know if they plan to release updated drawings? As construction continues it is apparent that the original drawings are no longer accurate. Are there, perhaps, some official documents -- site plans, blueprints, etc. -- that might more accurately reflect what is actually being built?

Even though the number of buildings is obviously less, does that mean the number of rooms/units is also less? I wouldn't think so, since AKV was sold on the basis of 324 rooms in Kidani, and to change that would require some amendments to the sales documents. But I must admit to being a little confused.

Then again, am I fretting needlessly?

What we need are the actual architectural drawings. They would have to file them somewhere official but I don't know if they are available on a public website. We have some good sleuths here so maybe somebody knows where those drawings are filed and whether we can get a look at them. The only website I monitor is the Orange County Comptroller site where they file documents prior to starting sales (declaring units into the condominium association). Something should be available there in a few months based on the rumors we've been hearing but it would be nice if we could turn up something now.

Wow, they're really going gangbusters over there. Maybe I'll be able to tour the finished Kidani on my September visit.
