Kidani~ construction

Is there a good location for SV that is not being disrupted by the refurbs and construction? I keep seeing pictures but cannot find any info on the ending dates.

As far as I know there is no ongoing refurb inside Kidani (that one was finished two years ago). There has been some work being done on the savanna and outside the lobby area which can likely be avoided by requesting a room away from the lobby. If you mean Jambo, the current refurb is for the hotel portion of the resort, meaning most of the DVC rooms, which are on the fifth floor, are unaffected. Moreover, I have seen reports (do a google search for : Jambo refurb when complete), that the hotel portion for below fifth floor is supposed to be done by end of this year. So, apparently, the only remaining refurb that will be occurring for the first part of next year is for the small number of hotel rooms on the fifth floor, which are across the hall form the value rooms that are on the Giraffe and Ostrich Trails of this map https://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/aklmap.htm

Thank you. I keep reading reports that even though the rooms aren't being touched, there is still quite a bit of exterior work on Kidani and that the animals aren't as present as they normally would be.

We were there 12/8 - 12/13 and the only thing we saw was scaffolding/scrim around the lobby windows. Towards the end of our stay they were dismantling it. We were there in July and they still had quite a bit of work going on the south trail with numerous ”cherry pickers” etc.
