Kidani-best savannah room location ?

Hi! We will be staying at Kidani 7/11. We know we want 2nd or 3rd floor. But to all that have stayed there already, what is a good location for a studio savannah? Can you still see the animals well if you are closer to the lobby (we were thinking of requesting near the lobby)?

I was going to ask the exact same question for my August trip, but I'll just piggy-back on your thread and look at the responses.

The savannah stretches the entire length of the resort. The animals move about the savannah, so one moment there may be nothing right in front of your balcony, and the next moment there may be some giraffes, ankole cattle, an ostrich or two, an eland, or a marabou stock walking past your room. We just came back to Jambo House at AKL after eating dinner at Sanaa, one of Kidani's restaurants. Our table had a great view of the savannah, and we saw lots of animals while enjoying a great meal.

So I don't think there is one room that offers a better view of the savannah compared to another room. You'll see lots of animals from any room that offers a savannah view.

May I ask you if you walked to Sanaa from Jambo House? If so, was it a long walk?

We were at AKV last month...stayed in Jambo, but ate at Sanaa at Kidani twice (loved it) and walked each time...it's a very easy walk...from lobby to lobby is just about 10 minutes, walking "steadily" but not fast (not "ambling")...you can cut that time in half if you have a villa at the end of the "necklace" on the Jambo side...

I also walked all around Kidani most mornings (out doing my exercise hikes/jogs)...I liked the savannah at Kidani better than the one(s) at Jambo (altho both were great)...there just seemed to be more animals out & about (and more variety) to view at Kidani...there were definitely no ostriches at Jambo (that I ever saw)...

It's an awesome resort--both Kidani & Jambo...Disney did us proud w/this one!

We didn't walk from Jambo to Kidani, but its a short easy walk. My wife's foot has been bothering her on this trip, so she didn't want to do any more walking than necessary. The Downtown Disney bus goes directly from AKL to Kidani. On the return trip, all of the Park buses (Epcot, MK, Studios, or AK) go from Kidani to AKL before continuing to the parks.

I've been wondering this too. I would like to be fairly close to the pool, I'm hoping you would still get a good view of the animals.
