We stayed at AKV last week. Here's a few shots of the new construction.

Great pictures, thanks for posting. I can't wait to stay at AKV for the first time. I think I'm going to wait until the new Kidani building is complete.

As for CRV or KT or BLT (whatever its being called these days), I am so looking forward to when and if the official announcement is made. If I can afford it, I would like to add a small contract there!

I thought the building was only suppose to be 14 stories, did i miscount or miss something in the plans? I am not a documents freak but maybe someone can shed some light on the subject for me.:confused3 :smokin: :3dglasses

Thanks for the pics! Did you see any animals on the Sunset savanna? I am going to be in a value studio and have requested a savanna view but from many of the reports it seems like I should ask for a pool view.

Hm..., when I was counting the floors on the wide shot, I only counted 14 floors. :confused3

I didn't want to start a 'Debbie Downer' thread - but since you asked... :teeth:

Our view sucked. We paid for a savanah view, and this is what we got:

I believe this is considered the Sunset Savanah.
There were rarely any animals. When there was, it was usually an ostrich peaking his head over the fence. I was out on the balcony a lot, and it was very disappointing. I would consider this a 'Standard' room at best. I want my 74 points back.

Wow, that would be a major bummer. They really need to remedy this situation. It is totally unfair to pay extra points for a savannah view to get that. It would be like paying for a boardwalk view at BWV, and getting a view of the parking lot. Conpletely unacceptable.

These may be the best detail shots of the BLT construction that I have seen on any website. Way to go! And thanks.:thumbsup2

looks like the first floor won't be used for guests.

anyone else get the guide telling everyone that were would be first floor villa to see the animals.

that is a BIG disappointment.

guess it is part of the parking lot?

so sorry you had a bad room - especially for a savannah view. Waiting for Kidani before I even try for a savannah view - heard to many complaints - until then standard or value will work just fine for me.

would write DVC and ask them where the animals were. but if this ever happens again - do it while you are still check in the hotel. then they can definitely help you - once you are checked out it gets harder.

hopefully you will get back some of your points.

Thanks for posting the pictures. It's great to see how my new "home" (Kidani) is coming along. We're planning our first visit for next July or August.

We had the same view in Feb (but no construction) I was a little disappointed in the view and the landscape and the number of animals we saw. After coming from a BW view studio it was like I was in the desert.

We woke up early and didn't see any animals except the cool bird (who woke us up) when we asked "where are the giraffes, the guide told us that they were in the barn having breakfast:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: so much for wild animals!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thanks for the great pictures!!!! I can hardly wait!!!

Great Pics. Thanks for the update. My new home is starting to really take shape!:cool1: I'm still hoping they will be done with at least all of the outside construction when we arrive in January so the cranes will be gone.:rolleyes1
