Kidani 1bdrm noisy AC unit

We stayed at Kidani Village in a 1 bdrm for 4 nights back in May. Everything was incredible and perfect, except the AC unit was on the wall directly behind the door of the bedroom and was constantly running making a somewhat loud whirring wind blowing kind of noise. At other resorts, these units can usually be found somewhere in the living area near the entrance way. The room was on the 5th floor, first room of the last building, facing the savanna.

Did anyone else notice this in the 1 bedrooms? Was it just a defective unit or is that just the way it is? I almost called maintenance but my wife didn't think it was that bad.

Not that big a deal, just curious.

sounds like a defective unit - which should have been caught in the CM stay.

if it happens again just call maintence/engineering.

had one at BCV - Disney tried to fix it - but could not - so they call in the company. It was put together wrong. took them hours to fix it.

but it was worth it.

not a sound that night.

Mine was noisy and ran all the time too.

I just got back from a stay in a studio. The AC unit was near the door. I noticed was loud but it was far from the bed so it didn't keep me awake. The refrigerator went off and on alot too.
