We arrived at Kidani about 10:30am after a 3 day cruise on the disney dream.
The line was very long and extremely slow moving for check in.
I checked in while my husband got our luggage. The lady said to let my husband know to bring it to the lobby because our room was ready.
This was the first time I have ever had my room ready at such a early check in. I told the CM I was thrilled.....she said I'm going to thrill you even more because our room was on the 3rd floor and 2 rooms down from lobby elevator with the Sunset savannah view. I knew we were getting the savannah view but was thrilled to get the sunset savannah and to be so close to lobby and pool was amazing.

The room was exceptionally clean and very large. I was super impressed with the lay out and went to kidani because of the 2nd bathroom .....having a 22 yr old and 19 yr old girls -a necessity. My husband wasn't thrilled we were staying at the animal kingdon because we stayed at a studio many years ago and did not like the small room and location of room from lobby but he quickly changed his mind after a few minutes.

The parking was wonderful......never had a problem getting a spot near the elevator.

Went to Sanaa for drinks and had a good time......wished they did offer more appetizer selection, used my TIW and loved it.

They only negative is we left our do not disturb sign on door the entire time, when we saw housekeeping in the hall on day 4 we said we did not need any service. When we came back to the room that evening they had removed our do not disturb sign and left towels on the bar stool. They did take away some of the towels we had hanging up in the bathrooms along with they bath mats but did not replace mats. They did take trash out and also took my supply of plastics bags I brought from home. My husband went to front desk to request and new sign for door and explained what had happened and they would not give him one and said someone else must of taken tag off door before housekeeping went in because they are not allowed to enter room with the sign on door. One of the things of love about dvc villas is having no one entering my villa the entire stay. I wash our towels and linens......no big deal.

My home resort is BLT and love it. We are now thinking of purchasing points at AkL because of the laid back and quiet atmosphere.

I will also add that Kidani pool is awesome. Much better than BLT.
The pool bar had an excellent selection of food and drinks. I loved the pulled pork sandwich w/coleslaw......yummy. We used the hot tub most nights. The one by fitness center is beautiful with the hanging lanterns in the tree but was packed a couple of times and we went to the hot tub by the pool, not as nice and much louder due to proximity of the pool.

I'm so glad you had such a positive experience (mostly). Our home resort is OKW, and we love it there. But we have stayed at Kidani 3 times in the last 4 years because we now have grandchildren. We also have grown to love Kidani. Many find it to be dark. It is, but that's part of the theming. I also love the second bath. We stayed at BLT for the first night of our 2014 Spring Break trip because I was not able to add that night at Kidani. It turned out to be much better than I was lead to believe it would be. 5th floor TP view didn't hurt - ha! We've now stayed at all of the DVCs at WDW except for BC and VGF (that one's coming in Sept). So far, I still prefer OKW and Kidani. Thanks for posting.
