The other thread had me think of our situation. I'm always terrified our son will try to climb out the window in his second story room. As it is small, it gets stuffy and we don't have central air. We have a window ac, but I was hoping for suggestions on how to make it kid safe. I googled with no success. Anyone have any suggestions? thanks!

we have heavy pieces of wood that keep the top window down on the AC unit.....these will never move...hubby did that quickly when we first purchased the AC units, and we are still using them...

We also have the wood. Its cut so it fits tight and its hard to remove them

can you explain a little more about the wood? you are talking to someone who is NOT handy (and dh is even worse than I am!) thanks!
