Kid menus?

Can seniors order from the kids menu? My 72 y/o mother is travelling with us and she has a very small appetite.
Also, Can anyone tell my the age limit on kids dinners? My 10 year old has to buy an adult theme park ticket soooooooo.......... I hope she can still get a kids meal.

at allears.net I found menu's stating 11 and under.

the rainforest said 12 and under, so maybe it is 12. i think i read that somewhere my daughter is also 10 and we are thinking it was 12. let me go look and see if I have an old menu in my
stack of things.

okay, i found several epcot menu's none with the ages, however, two of my disney guidebooks say 3 - 11, so that must be it.

odd though ticket prices are at 10 they are adults, so why 11 for kid's meals?

I think that for buffets you have to pay the grownup price. However, I think that you can order off the kids menu. We've done it at Disneyland and I think I've read that you can at WDW.

When eating a restaraunt that is a buffet or family style or "pre-plated" (some character meals), then the kids pay the kid price and the adults pay the adult price, regardless of age and amount eaten. Under 3 is free at these types of meals. I'm not sure of the age break for child vs adult pricing (10 - 12?).

However, I believe at any of the restaraunts where you order entrees, counter or sit-down, anyone can order a child or adult meal. You are charged for what you order.

She would probably be happy with a kids' meal at some of the restaurants, but at many the selection is pretty awful -- chicken fingers, mac and cheese, hotdogs, etc. Is there someone else who could split entrees with her? When you do that, it is served on two plates. The second person could also get an appetizer maybe. Also, ask whether a child-size portion of regular entree can be made for. At Prime Cafe, for example, you can get any of the homestyle meals in a child serving.

I order kids meals at counter service all the time and have never been questioned about it. I think it's different at a sit down restaurant.
