kid friendly restaurants in epcot?

My kids' favorite is the San Angel Inn. They can find food that's to their liking-- although there are chicken fingers EVERYWHERE-- and they like watching mountain, the night sky and the boats going by.

We also enjoyed the setting of the Garden Grill several years ago, but the new menu doesn't look like it would be as much of a hit for us. YMMV.

EPCOT - depends what you children like..

Teppanyaki - Japan - will entertain your kids while they prepare their meal
They have grilled chicken for the younger crowd.

Le Cellier - Canada - great food for adults and kids - wonderful Moose shaped childs dessert

San Angel Inn - Mexico - must like Mexican (Taco Bell) food. Boats glide by and Mexican music plays as you eat.

General burgers, chicken. hots dogs ....
Go to-> Sunshine Season Food Fair in Future World, The Land
or
Go to -> Liberty Inn in World Showcase, The American Adventure

If your children like foreign food, then they may be able to pick a restaurant depending on their tastes. If not-everybody has chicken fingers.
A safe bet though would either be Italy (who doesn't like spaghetti??) or Mexico (tacos and burritos). I would even lean a little more towards Mexico (San Angel Inn) because of the atmosphere-the restaurant is gorgeous. Plus, there's a boat ride. If there's no line for this ride (and there rarely is when we go for some reason!) my sister and I take our youngest sister on it while we wait for our table.

Actually, most the restaurants at Epcot are child friendly. But for better service and More Tolerance of young ones, better to go during the early seating times of most restaurants. We went to eat at the following restaurants with our 17 months and 5 year old kids: Le Cellier, Chef Des France, Teppanyaki, and Norway Storybook Princess. My kids favorite meal was at Chefs De France. Ate dinner at 5:30pm, early seating. Loved the escargot and duck entree. The waiter was very friendly and we were seated in an area that allowed the kids to people watch through glass windows.

We shared meals with our small children except for Norway buffet. The waiter didn't mind and brought out extra plates so we can share.

My DDs favorites (7, 10) are

For food-Teppanyaki, Le Cellier, Rose, and Crown (in that order). They love the atmosphere, at Morroco, but prob. not the food so much. They order the same ole chicken strips.

The only dislike so far has been Akershus. Even w/ the princesses at dinner, both have decided never again!!

For a quick meal, the new Seasons, in the land pavillon, is awsome. We found it on our last day at WDW. If we had found it earlier, we would have eaten there a few times!!

Have you checked the menus, at www.allearsnet.com It will help quite a bit. Most restaurants, in all of WDW, have children's menus, w/ kids stuff, or can alter the food to meet the younger one's tastes. For instance, at Ohana, my youngest loves shrimp, but the spice was a little much for her. They brought a skewer of shrimp, without it, as much as she wanted!!

Good luck, and have a great trip.

DS13 & I are planning lunches at San Angel, Teppenyaki & LeCellier

We like Restaurant Marakesh in Morrocco. They always get my daughter up and show her how to belly dance. The childs selection is a lovely meal. Also, Le Cellier in Canada has a nice steak on the childs menu. It may not be not as much fun for children, however. I guess it all depends how active your children are and what their tastes for food are.

My kids love Biergarten. Good food, they ate hotdogs and pretzel bread, and they loved the entertainment!

Our kids love the Biergarten. Plus, the entertainment keeps them amused during at least part of your meal.

Other favorites are Alfredo's and the Coral Reef. ::MinnieMo

Another vote for Teppenyaki. Our boys loved it. But I noticed it may not be so great for very little ones. Last time DH and I were there, we saw a couple of toddlers who kept trying to reach to touch the hot table.

DS 9 and very picky DD 6 loved Teppanyaki. I don't think you could have wiped the smiles from their faces. We went in Aug 2004 and will return here in Aug 2006.
