My 6yo DD has (thankfully) inherited her mother and my love of books. Unfortunately, I'm having a heckuva time trying to come up with new things for her to read. She's beyond the basic 1st reader type books, but isn't quite at the level yet that she could pick up a chapter book and breeze through it. I'd like to find something that is both challenging (without being too much for a 6yo to handle) as well as interesting to a girl who loves all things pink and princessy.
The Disney Little Golden Books are about the level that I'm looking for, but she's already read most of those that I've been able to find. So, I thought I'd come to the nice folks over hear to see if you guys had any ideas.
Thanks in advance...

That's what happens when you have two boys.

My son also liked the Berenstain Bear series as well as the Arthur series. And you can't go wrong with anything by Shel Silverstein -- very funny and fun poems for both kids AND adults! I recommend A Light In The Attic and The Giving Tree.
