I just go back from the office Christmas party where I met the most beautiful, sumptuous girl ever. I struck up conversation and we seemed to get along. We also played with the idea of meeting up some time.

But I didn't get her number - it never struck me to.

I agree! If there's some sort of front desk or bulletin board or maybe an employee or more full time volunteer who'd help you out, I'd leave a note for her saying I enjoyed talking to her and giving your phone number.
