Well, if you are uncool then it means what you are doing or wearing is outdated.
If you are cool, it means what you are doing or wearing is outdated but since your cool then its okay

Or if you're listening to a R & B radio station "kickin it old school" means you tend to like the classics r & b songs (Motown, sounds of Philadelphia, dance club songs) as opposed to the newer stuff.

Around here, pople use it to mean anything you do that is like they did 'back in the day..." (so that helps, huh?!) It seems like often people are talking about how things were done in the 70's or 80's!! (Covers music, clothes, etc.)
