Kicked Out of MK for the Christmas Party

I agree that you should of been able to stay there till 7:00 and you should of been able to wait for your wife and the children....

But its a different story if you were trying to get in a 7:00 because they our doing that for your own good but you were not hopefully doing that so you should of been able to do that and wait for your child and wife.

Again you paid up to 7pm. Whether ,sometimes, you are allowed to linger after(I know they'll let you linger in the gift shops for sure) is just bonus time.I have seen them close rides before 7.Always thought there was a system they employed for directing guests towards the front without them thinking they were being ushered that way.Anyway You should enjoy it when extra time is there and not complain when it isn't. (I do agree with being able to use restrooms on way out however) And again many people before you have probably ruined this by staying WAY past their paid time especially on party nites.

I didn't get "bonus time" and didn't expect to. I simply didn't want them to force me out of the park at 6:45pm as they did.

All I needed/wanted to do was use the restroom at 6:50 and was not allowed to(neither were my kids)

Again there is a difference between Party nights and regular days just like there are differences when they have ENH at a a park. They do mostly the same thing except they check for room keys don't have one out of the park.
Again that is diffident circumstances an those people were in the line before park close. They also do many times cut off the lines at the attractions well before park close once they know they have roughly what they can put through before then sometimes it gives you some extra time in the park sometimes not.
If you have a problem with Disney's policies contact them instead of complaining about it on a message board.

I'll tell you what ISN'T different on party nights - the posted closing time is the posted closing time.
They do NOT cut off lines at attractions before the park closes on non-party nights.
And as I've stated before, I did contact Disney about this and encourage everyone who has similar experiences to do the same. And I am completely free to carry on this discussion in this thread. I simply don't understand why you keep posting here if you don't think we should be discussing it. If that's the case then just stop reading and posting here.

This is incorrect. Policy is that ride queue entrances are open until the minute of close. If the attraction closes before park close, that is either a different issue or an overzealous CM.

The OP has a legitimate beef and is perfectly acceptable on a discussion forum. Whether they take it to Guest Relations is their call.

I have contacted Disney and received a call back. The CSM kept saying the CM was simply trying to get day guests out for the party but she admitted she didn't know the policy concerning when they should begin that process (which I found frustrating). She apologized but at one point said the decission to get day guests out of the park before the party starts was made "at the highest levels". Her statements to me seemed inconsistent and she seemed pretty frazzled about it all. It was not what I would have expected.

I sorta feel like this thread started as a legitimate concern, the the additional posts made a mountain out of a molehill. Honestly, I don't think that the day guest should be ushered out like that, but at the same time, when you're paying an extra 60-70 dollars, you expect there to be a line.

While the whole not being allowed to use the restroom is ludicrous, I don't understand why everyone is freaking out over this. It was an over zealous cm, that's all. I can understand disney trying to get people out of the back of the park though. It makes for a traffic mess and if you're in the back of the park at 7, that could be another half an hour until you're out of the park.

Honestly, if it bugs you that much, don't to the magic kingdom on a party night. I know when I'm planning that I wouldn't go on a party day unless I have party tickets. There are three other parks plus dtd. I wouldn't waste an admission day on a party day because you are losing at least two hours compare to a non-party day.

Based on what other people have written and what the CSR wiith Disney told me it was not just an overzealous CM. Plus, she had 7/8ths of the gift shop entrance closed off and was stationed at the opening not letting day guests in. It would be my guess that the manager of that shop would have been outraged had she been doing something wrong.

As to your comment about not going there on a party night, I think you are missing a few things in your thinking. First of all we were there because that was the only night we could get into BOG. Are you really expecting families to forego an experience like that just to avoid a party night? And if for any reason a family chooses MK on a party night because it works in their schedule why would you have that attitude with them?

Second, how are most guests supposed to know that's how they will be treated if they go there on a party night ahead of time unless they are the tiny percentage of people on this or similar discussion boards? In fact, as I stated earlier, I have been there on party nights in years past and never experienced this problem before.

Just saying don't go there on a party night is not addressing the problem and is not feasible for some. If it works for you, great, but that's not the solution to the overall problem.

Yep. And I attend many hard ticket parties. I don't begrudge anyone the right to get in a ride line all the way up unil 7, even if that means I would b in line behind them. I just expect them to handle the special party things (like character lines) differently.

I agree with you about this, and in my experience recently, this is the way that it was. The CM's over by the 7 Dwarves M&G at MVMCP made sure that every person in line, and every person in the area with a camera had a wristband. By that time though, I believe it was 7 or shortly after anyway, but they were good about it.
