i have a airbook...just wondering if there is wifi or ethernet at kidani village...staying in a 1 bedroom villa if that makes a difference

I'm pretty sure it's wired. I believe only HH and VB offer wifi.

No wi-fi in December -- only ethernet.

There is no in room WiFi at any Disney owned & operated resort at WDW (including DVC resorts), it's wired only. If you need WiFi you will have to bring your own wireless router.

I was just teasing. I knew it was MacBook Air. I constantly hear people say "my iTouch" or "I'm going to the iPhone Store."

I couldn't pass it up; I'd never heard "airbook" before. LOL.

Best bet is to take a wireless router with you.

If you want wireless in room bring a wireless router; a good, small, travel wireless router does fine, such as Apple's AirPort Express. Just take the time at home to set it up so it communicates with your computers so you can just plug it in when you get there and you immediately have wirless interenet. You will be glad to have wireless because that 1BR at AKL has only one ethernet hookup and it is in the bedroom so without wireless you have no internet in the living room.

That's what we do for our MacBook laptops, we just take along an airport express that we set up at home first. It works great and since we have it password protected we feel pretty safe using it as well.

I just picked up a airport express to use with our ipad while we are staying at DVC.

My question is if I set it up at home on my PC and the ipad picks up on the wifi signal, will I be able to just plug in the airport at the DVC resort and be able to use the wifi signal on my ipad?

Yes. There will be a terms page displayed and you have to accept Disney's terms to get access to the internet. I have an AirPort Express that I use with an iPad and two iPhones at Disney with no issues.
