It’s too inconsistent and fails more often than not. They should also rename Extra Crispy to Soggy Clump o’ Grease because that’s all I’ve gotten the last 3 or 4 times we ordered it at a couple locations.

^^ I agree, very inconsistent and it tends to vary based on the store location. I am not sure if the fact that go bought by some other company made a difference, but the quality varies WILDLY from store to store.....some are good, but others are just terrible. Part of what made fast food chains popular was having consistent/reasonably priced/good food at every location. It seems to me they have lost control over the quality of the product (or don't care), so I rarely eat there anymore. Even at the good locations, it seems they put WAY too much salt in the chicken/gravy/potatoes and need to update their recipes for the way people currently like to eat.

They have plant based chicken fingers.
Anything that is a plant based version of the meat it is trying to imitate should not be allowed to use that meat in its name. No such thing as a plant based chicken. Just like that Halo stuff should not be allowed to be called ice cream.

Used to love the fried chicken but it is soooo expensive now, I haven't had it in quite awhile.
I do like their crispy fried chicken sandwich tho & get that occasionally. Love their tenders also. And the cole slaw.

KFC has eliminated most of my wife's favorites. Chicken and the mini corn on the cob. Or chicken and green beans, but she still likes the pot pies, but those usually are sold out. So she ended up with tenders, and most of our KFCs here are A&W combos so I can get a burger.

To be honest, not a fan of any of the chain chicken places. Chick Fil A is expensive for what it is. El Pollo Loco and Popeyes are too spicy.
Now we did get a great fast food chicken meal last week when we were out of town, but that was a stand alone, mom and pop chicken restaurant and everything is cooked to order.

I haven’t had KFC in about 40+ years, when Gino’s in northeast states held the rights to sell KFC. As a kid I thought Kentucky Fried Chicken was a Gino’s product.

Gino’s was my preferred burger chain. About 1982 they were sold to Marriott and rebranded as Roy Rogers.

Perhaps 10 years ago a revived Gino’s sprung up in the Baltimore area and a few other locations, but most have since closed.

Both! Used to love Kentucky Fried Chicken many years ago, when the food was really good. Nowadays the chicken really isn’t all that great most of the time. The potatoes are fine, but the gravy is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s thick, which I love, and other times it’s watery. The cole slaw has changed, and not for the better.

The last couple times we’ve gotten their food I’ve had the chicken strips and enjoyed them, with honey mustard sauce. We don’t go there often anymore though.

They have plant based chicken fingers.
Just checked their website and no sign of plant based chicken on their menu. Googled it and it looks like they did offer it back in January "for a limited time, while supplies last." I guess it's not a permanent thing.

I love the spice combination in the original and the coleslaw. I have the KFC/A&W 2 blocks from me but, the people who own it are one of those families that try to use less to make more $$$. I ordered the 3 piece lunch which was one breast, one thigh, one leg. I got one thigh, one leg and a wing. When I complained, they said they were out of breasts and a wing was comparable. In what world????? So I went back a few months later thinking it was just those employees that day, but nope. Same thing, same excuse. I wrote to KFC but they never responded. There is a good one that TVguy probably knows, on Madison/Manzanita. They do give you hot correct food.

About once a year I eat it, think “wow, this is tasty but REALLY greasy”, then after a year forget how greasy it is, eat it again, and the cycle is repeated.

It’s been several years since I’ve had KFC. On the rare occasion that we get chicken we prefer Lee’s.

Yucky for me.
I don’t remember the last time I ate this - definitely more than 10 years ago.

It has been years since I have had it, but depending on what you order I think it can be yummy. I am not really a fan of fried chicken. Too messy, I also feel like I am wasting food because there are always parts that I am not sure what you should eat and what you should not even try. Leftover bones kinda weird me out too.

Like I said, it's been years since I have eaten at KFC, but I remember they have (or had) some kind of "chicken little" sandwiches. I absolutely love those. I also really like their mashed potatoes.

I don't really do fried chicken, but when it comes to fast food chicken Chic Fil A is my favorite. I also really like Popeyes.
