Keys to the Magic Kingdom Tour

Hello all,

My wife and I are thinking of doing this 5 hour tour

ahs anyone done it? What was it like? Was it worth the time spent? What did you do with your camera when you were on the tour because they don't allow camera?

Sorry for all the questions but this will be our first trip to MK without our kids so we wanted to do this adult's only event

It's a really great tour and I think you will love it... if you care, you can check my 2011 TR in my signature for some bits and pieces about it. You can bring cameras and for some things you can take pictures, however they will let you know when you need to put them away. It was totally worth every minute. Even if you think you know all there is to know about MK, you will still learn a thing or two.

Have to agree with Lala. I really enjoyed this tour. I am thinking of going again with the boyfriend. I am slowly converting him into a Disney lover. He will get to stay for the entire week this upcoming trip.

I also agree...great tour and lots of info. I have been thinking of doing it again! There was so much information that I don't remember (swiss cheese for brains here!). There are multiple breaks and time for questions too. I think you will enjoy it!

Just did this in February! Loved it. I know a PP said they were able to take pictures, I want to mention we were not able to. I believe the guide mentioned it would slow things up for the tour. Which I understand, it seemed like we had a very specific time schedule to follow.

h wow they must have changed things. I could see how taking pictures would slow things up. Good to know.

I was against taking it and ended up having a great time! I also got a ton of mickey stickers because my fiancè and her friend are disnuts.

I have done the Keys to the Kingdom tour several times and it is well worth the money in my opinion. The knowledge, the cool places you get to visit and of course getting to go right on a few rides was an awesome experience as well.

I will speak to my experience on my last tour the first week of October this year ... Our group was told that no pictures or cameras were allowed for the entire tour. You may want to email/call and ask just to make certain what you can and/or cannot do as far as pictures and cameras.

The gift you receive is a cool as well

I went on this tour Feb. 2014 with my 16 year old son and we had a great time, We were able to have our phones until we went behind the scenes, then severe warnings to put them away! It was a fun trip but by the end we were ready to be done.

One of the best things I've ever done at WDW. I'm looking forward to doing it again as each guide has their own spin and experiences.

Part of the tour will be in the public areas, notably on Main Street (we could take pictures there), and part of the tour will in the CM areas (no photography allowed), a group lunch, and several rides where you'll learn some of the Magic about them. Lots of interesting fun facts, history, and "secrets"!

I have taken this tour twice. First time in 2009 and again in 2014. It is a wonderful tour and worth every single penny. Each tour is different based upon the guide and what drives their love for Disney. There are aspects of the tour the guide MUST talk about and then other parts that is all their own commentary. You will not regret it.

Does anyone know how far in advance can you book this tour? We wanted to do it while we were there in December but it was booked out. We have a head start this year, so does the tour open up at 180 days?
