Keys to the Kingdom

4 parks vs. 1, no park admission required vs required for KTTK, lunch at a sit down vs. quick service, about twice as long time-wise.

Don't forget the discounts.

i did this tour in 2012, and we rode hm, pirates, and jungle cruise, had a good guide, but a lousy group that didn't ask many questions. did the marceline to mk tour last year, same guide, much better group, this was a different tour, and we opened hm and got to go in the ballroom!! so cool. i would reccomend either tour, marceline if you want to know more about walt, keys if you want to know more about the parks

Has anyone taken the Keys to the Kingdom tour recently? If so, what did you like? What did you not like? Is it worth the money? I understand lunch is included. Thanks!

I went on the tour in '11.

I loved all the information you get from the CMs. I knew a lot of things, but there was still a wealth of backstage/insider knowledge gained. A particular bonus for me was getting into the MK prior to RD--it was great to wander Main Street USA by myself and get some shots of the park without guests everywhere. I really enjoyed seeing the parade staging areas and the utilidors.

I don't know if there was anything I didn't like. I guess if you put me on the spot I'd say it was too short.

Some of the best money I've every spent at WDW.

Lunch was fun as well. I was solo on the tour and got to sit with our guide. I was really cool to get some one-on-one time with a knowledgable Cast Member.

We did Keys to the Kingdom a few weeks ago and absolutely loved it. Our tour guide was Robert and he was an amazing storyteller.

I really think it is the luck of tour guide that could make or break the tour. When Robert was talking about Walt and Roy his storytelling was good enough that it brought tears to both mine and DH's eyes.

The group would make a difference too, my group didn't ask many questions and I think with more questions it would have been even better since different people come up with very different questions.

We rode 2 rides, Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise. We also spent ages talking about the windows down Main Street. I am now obsessed with those windows.

Well from everyone's reviews, it sounds like I picked a good tour. My mom and I are Disney nuts like most people here and we've never done Keys to the Kingdom. I was able to secure a reservation for the two of us and can't wait to give it a go. Its been awhile since we've eaten at Columbia Harbor house so it looks good all around. Our tour is in December so hopefully weather won't be an issue.

Just curious as to how the tour was for you? My sister & I are planning a Dec. 2014 vacation and were thinking of trying it.

When you do the Keys to the Kingdom tour, do you get to go on any rides during the tour?

I was there during marathon weekend 2013 and took the KTTKT. Loved it and we rode POTC, HM and Jungle Cruise.

Done it a couple times. Had Rae as well one time.

For jungle cruise, they turn off the sounds and talk you thorough the ride. The others it's harder to do without disrupting the ride so hm they usually let you just ride it, but skip the entryway. Same with pirates.

Your experience definitely depends on the guide you get and how many questions you all ask. But most of the guides are really good as long as you engage them.

Have fun!
