Has anyone been on this tour, we have just booked this tour today:goodvibes

I have always wanted to do this, its about 5 hours long and we have lunch at the Columbia Harbour House included , cant wait :cool1: I have waited for 19 years I hope its worth it.:rolleyes1

Mum and I went on this tour last year. It was great! They tell you a lot about the history of the park, you get to go on 2 or 3 rides (we did Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise). Lunch was nice because we got to sit with some of the people on our tour. It is A LOT of walking and standing so wear comfortable shoes!!

I hope you enjoy it - one tip is that although they say no cameras or bags they actually don't mind having them as long as you don't take any pictures "behind the scenes". I found it easier to take any pictures I wanted after the tour as it finished around 2pm and we had plenty of time to go back to various spots before we had to go home.

We also did this tour about 4 years ago - and also did the haunted mansion and jungle cruise as part of it. You get to hear loads of behind the scenes stuff and go down in to the tunnels underneath MK. You also wear headsets so you can hear your guide which was great. I thoroughly recommend this tour - you'll love it!! :thumbsup2

I did this with my mum and sister in 2005 (my sister was 16 the day of the tour, heh!) and thought it was great, really interesting and well worth the money. I've looked into the other tours but nothing really draws me in aside from Backstage Magic which is one to save for a honeymoon trip I think, pricey..!

I would love to do this tour but DW is petrified that she will see Tigger without his head on :lmao:

So I guess I will have to let this one go - or book and go on my own :thumbsup2

Enjoy yours and come back and tell us all about it so I can decide whether or not to give it a go.

We did this tour a few years back now but worth every cent. Very interesting and gives you a good insite into a lot of things. We did the POTC and HM on our tour.

There is a danger, we saw a 'headless' Woody when we did the tour last year. It is a great tour though and you should definitely consider doing it on your own.

We did it in 2007, it was great, we went on HM, PotC and JC.

we saw headless pooh backstage at epcot after our wedding it was quite a shock! he rushed to put his head on when he saw our bus!!

We did this last May and really enjoyed it! The time goes really quickly and its great learning a few secrets - they make the rest of your trip more enjoyable as you walk around feeling you know stuff no one else does! We did see a headless Woody which was traumatising, but as long as you can cope with that you will love it!

the future world tour at epcot is also good - i can't remember the official title, but it's very interesting...and i think a lot cheaper than the keys to the kingdom...you get to see behind the scenes in future world (including the big 'car wash' place where they clean all of the 3D glasses from all the parks)....

and for an interesting short one - Behind the Seeds in the Land pavilion in epcot is also nice and only costs something like $12....it's very educational....my kids were about 18 and 20 when we did it....the 20 year old was royally ticked off when i signed us all up...and now she recommends it to everyone...she really liked it...but it is a purely educational tour (about agriculture)..

I'm not sure DW would ever get over the trauma of seeing her hero/idol without a head - or worse still with a human one (unless of course it was Will Smith then it would be Christmas and Birthday all rolled into one )

we done it too a few years back
really enjoyed it too

I loved this tour- did not see any headless people though! Remember the visit to the utilidoors is only a small part of the tour at the end, I would personally book the earliest tour possible- you get into the park early and avoid some of the heat of the day.

We did this tour a couple of years ago and thought it worth every cent.

We did see both Minnie and Mickey without their heads outside backstage and smoking which was upsetting but I got over it:rotfl2:
