Keys to the Kingdom

You will get an unbelieveable awesome amount of WDW and Walt Disney info. The tour is generally 9-2pm with a wonderful lunch stop at Columbia Harbor House. We went on 2 rides and was given all neat little hidden secrets about all of the rides and attractions in the MK. We went in the utilidors as well.

WONDERFUL!!! :thumbsup2

Oh and p.s. you will get a one of a kind fabulous PIN at the close of the Tour!!! :sunny:

you'll love it!

people claim that it "takes away the magic" but for me it just made it better knowing how hard they work just to make us happy!

I really enjoyed it, we rode POTC, HM and JC. We went underground and viewed that area (which was aired on History's Moden Marvels show). She answered so many questions that I often wondered, plus she pointed out things that I never notcied before and now I note not to forget to look each time. Heather was a great guide. We had never eaten at the Columbia Habor House, now it's our favorite CS in the Magic Kingdom.

I would like to go on it again in the future and the other tour that goes to the other parks in a day; it just made me want to learn more about the parks. :thumbsup2

Any issues with bringing a bag? I am going to have a small (5" x 9") bag. Will I have to get a locker for it? When we first signed up for our tour in Sept they said no bags allowed, then a different poster said they were allowed to bring one...

We went in Feb (2006) and I had one of those large Disney tote/purse they sell in all the gift shops. No problem. Quite a few people had fanny packs. The only thing they stressed was NO CAMERAS. So we just kept our camera right in my purse. No biggie. :goodvibes

Last Sept '05, when we checked in for the tour, I asked where's the lockers to store my Cannon Rebel camera..they told me that they would keep it for me, for "free". That was great news, I carried a small back pack with no problems on the tour.

Actually, you could call...1-407-WDW-TOUR...The CM told me on the phone if I have a DISNEY VISA I will get 20% off the price...yup, I did and that was cool...but sorry, I do not remember the cost. Also you can goggle or yahoo search KEYS TO THE KINGDOM and there is allot of info on the tour with reviews.

Like a previous poster mentoned (407) wdw-tour. If you have the disney visa you can get 20% off until Sept. 30th. after that I was told they are discontinuing it.

I also heard you can get a discount with a aaa membership or Disney annual park pass.

I took this tour last December and LOVED! it! I didn't think it ruined the magic at all! I learned so much. Enjoy! :cool1:

I have done this tour 3 times and loved it each time. If you want a lot of information on MK then you will receive a lot on this tour. :thumbsup2

I really enjoyed this tour. Some of the information I already knew from reading the Imagineers Guide to the Magic Kingdom but there was still a ton of new info. We rode the Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion, Pirates was closed in May, and had lunch at Columbia Harbor House. This was my first Keys to the Kingdom Tour, but DBF had been before and said that while some of it was similar he enjoyed it and learned a few new facts and tricks.

It definitely didn't take away the magic, only made me look harder! Now everytime as I leave the MK I say goodnight and thanks to Walt as I look to his window! ::MickeyMo :thanks:

Bye the way...What time does the 3:00 parade start?? :confused3 hahaha

My wife and I went on the tour a week ago and we loved it. Our guide Nicole did a fantastic job and we really learned a lot. She told us that if we had a camera, we were permitted to take pictures in the MK, but as soon as we went "back stage" we had to put it away (that included cell phones).

For the two of us it cost $120 total (we did not use the Visa discount), but again, it was well worth it. I scheduled the tour at the hotel (Wilderness Lodge) when we arrived and they had pleanty of openings throughout the week. We are seriously thinking about taking the "Behind the Seeds" tour in the Land when we go back in a couple of years.
