hi
Has anyone done this, what happens and what is the cost? Thanks

$99 per person and the youngest you can be is 16yo.

I haven't done it yet but have plans to when we're back in November.

I've done it. It was fascinating. I would be happy to walk you through the tour, but don't want to ruin it for you. Just do it. It's well worth it.

Thanks I have arthritis and am a little concerned about the amount of walking- 5hrs? Is there plenty of rests & can u explain what happens with lunch? Thanks also if u book and it gets cancelled due to weather- r u refunded or is it just lost?

Hi OP, we have done it and I have arthritis, severe form of fibromyalgia, and my husband has a bad back with nerve pain.
However, we did it too 3 years ago and it was totally worth it to us. We were nervous at first, just like you are, about all the walking. They stress that there is a lot of walking and no frequent rests. However, we found that we did rest a bit throughout the 5 hours. We didn't feel like we were on a strenuous walk at all. You get lunch at Columbia Harbour House, which was terrific and you get quite a rest there. We sat with another couple who were worried about the walking too, and they were fine. I don't want to spoil it for you, but this is in the information. You get to sit when you get to ride on a couple of attractions, too.
Honestly, I can't think of a time when I felt like just sitting down! My husband and I were tired at the end of it, but it was hot and humid out. We just rested the rest of the day. I can't make the decision for you as everyone's physical situation is different, but we did fine. Our tour guide made the tour unique and fabulous. Hope this helps:)

Lunch is now at Tomorrowland Terrace. There is substantial walking, but nothing strenuous. Plenty of opportunities to sit and listen.

I have done it. Well worth it! Great time and you learn a lot of interesting things.

We did it a couple of weeks ago. The walking is not fast but you do walk a lot. I found the standing to be more fatiguing than the walking. There are discounts available such as annual pass, DVC, Disney Visa. My DD17 and I loved the tour. Our lunch was at Tomorrowland Terrace. When you check in, they take your lunch order prior to the tour. Also gave everyone a bottle of water to help you stay hydrated during the tour. My DD and I both ordered the chicken ceasar salad. I would NOT recommend it. Anyway, when you get over to lunch, your lunch is set up and waiting. We had a nice long break.

We did this and thoroughly enjoyed it, well worth the price. There is a great deal of walking but that's the fun of the tour. You also get to see places that most others can't.

I did the tour in october and we ate at Tomorrowland Terrace as well.

Lots of walking but we had lots of breaks/rest spots as well. They do try to stop and talk in area where you can sit.

Can you tell me about how far into the tour you were before you stopped for lunch? We're doing the first tour, so I'm trying to get a feel for if we'll eat breakfast beforehand or maybe eat a little snack while we walk.
Can you carry bags/snacks on this tour?

Question about lunch... Are there gluten-free options? Or options that can be made gluten-free as they would if you were just eating there?

I was in the 8am tour and we stopped for lunch just around 11.

ETA: I grabbed a muffin and coffee prior to the tour. OtherA had some snacks they ate along the way.

We were presented with the menu prior to the start of the tour to make our selections. I believe there were gluten free options.

The first time we did this it was fantastic. We walked extensively through the utilidors and saw some great stuff.
The second time we did it was shortly after 9/11 and the utilidor time was extremely minimal. They said due to new security procedures.
Not sure about today's tour, as my experiences were many years ago.

I did this tour almost 8 years ago, and my friends and I still talk about how awesome it was to this day! You learn so really interesting facts, and the tour through the Utildoors was quick, but still so amazing to see! I loved our tour guide, and could do this tour every time I go, as I am sure different tour guides have some different information!! Loved it! Couldnt rave about it enough!
