Keys to the Kingdom Tour ???

My family took it a few years ago and it was meh. Our instructor "Tiny" was a name dropper of all the awesome people he had given tours with and ended up talking more about that than about the history and interesting facts about the park. The lunch was good. We were underground in the tunnels for like 2 minutes and didn't get much info there.

We did the before the park opened tour so maybe he was still warming up and is normally better. It was cool however seeing the gates open and the herds of cows, I mean people, running to their destinations.

I probably wouldn't do it again.

I think the tour totally depends on the guide, and quite frankly the group.

Ours was great, but it also sounds like each tour is "different". I think we went on two rides - Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise (others have said three). We easily spent about a half hour walking around in the "tunnels".

I have said it here before, my best memory was getting into the park early, and walking down Main Street before the park opened. I took a picture of my wife in front of the castle, with absolutely nobody else around. A cast member that was standing in front of the castle (making sure people did not get too far into the park before opening) actually moved to the side when she saw me taking the picture.

With the discount, the included lunch, and the "fastpass" on the two rides, I though the price of the tour was quite reasonable, but I understand everyone has their own budget.

He only took us on 1 ride and it was it's a small world. Definitely not the most popular for our group which was all adults.

I did however enjoy seeing the behind the scenes stuff. we walked behind splash mountain and main street, but again he didn't tell us any interesting facts.

I did the tour 2 years ago. We had a fantastic guide called Scott I think. We got so much information and went on Pirates, Jungle Cruise and the Haunted Manor. A great mix of behind the scenes, snippets of info about parades and their rehearsals in the dead of night and great stories from a CM that loved his job and had done lots of different jobs round the park from Jungle Cruise skipper to a storm trooper at star wars weekends.

This tour is a total must do! I really had fun and I would even go again to see if another tour guide has more stories I haven't heard yet! :thumbsup2

Totally worth the time and $$!!

Our guide was Sean and he was excellent. He was actually moved to tears a couple times as he discussed his love of Disney. Full of information as well.

Lunch was great. I was solo and got to sit with Sean so I got to hit him with a few extra questions. At lunch they also give you a great little pin.

We rode JC and HM. Our time in the Utilidoors was close to an hour, so yes, I think it depends on the guide and the group. We were asking tons of questions down there.

No matter what tour time you get, you can show up early and get in ahead of RD for those amazing shots of Main Street USA without crowds. And I agree with PP--its kind of scary when they open the gates and the throngs flood into the park!!

We did the tour last Oct and loved it. I think our tour guide was named Robert and he was fantastic. Even my DH who isn't nearly as big a Disney nut as I am really enjoyed it and told lots of people things he learned about during the tour once we got home.

You guys have me all angry now that we wasted our money. I guess we should have called to rate him or something afterwards.

Your experience was very close to mine. Our tour guide was very open and honest once we were "behind the scenes." We spent around an hour in the tunnels, enough time to get a good taste of what's beneath the MK.

we did 3 rides on mine, riverboats, potc and haunted mansion, and used the vip enterance for hm. learned lots of really cool stuff, and saw new hidden mickeys for sure will do one of these tours again

We just did the tour 1/7 and we did two rides- the Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. We loved it! Can't wait to do another "Behind the Scenes tour":thumbsup2

My 16 year old DD & I went on this tour last summer. We knew alot already but our tour guide (who was amazing) told us a few things we did not know. Absolutely the best money we have spent at Disney. I say go for it!!!
