Keys to the Kingdom Tour - when to book?

How far in advance do you need to book the Keys to the Kingdom tour? I know there are several times per day, do they book up far in advance?

Yes, they do book up quickly but the time of year will also impact how fast. We booked our Feb 9 KTTK tour in late October - so 3.5 months prior. Our friends tried to book to join us two weeks prior and were told to check within 72 hours of the tour since that's when a lot of them are cancelled to avoid cancellation charges.

I would try and book as far out as possible. I believe it becomes available 180 days out like dining. I've tried to get into it a few times and it was sold out. I booked for a trip last year in March and was able to get it only 2 months out and had a few options.
