Keys to the Kingdom Tour - when to book?

We are planning a trip in early December and thought it would be fun to do the KTTK tour on my birthday (12/8). I know that we will need to call to book over the phone since we can't do it online. When does this tour normally sell out?

Book as soon as you know you want to go. Book the first tour of the day if you can. We did the 2nd tour and the one ahead of us had a guest on a mobility scooter. It slowed their tour way down and we kept catching up to them. We had to skip one attraction because of it.

I would suggest booking it soon. We went the first week in May this year and initially booked it in Jan. At the end of Feb we decided we wanted to change our day as the day we initially booked would no longer work for us. The day we wanted was not available so we had to take our second choice. This was at just over 60 days out that we had this issue. I also second the take the first available tour. You can take pictures on an empty mainstreet before you check in and you will finish the tour earlier leaving more park time.

That stinks-we had a rather inquisitive group and when we were leaving the parade backstage area the group behind us seemed to be catching up to us a little but nothing like what you described. Did you miss HM or Jungle Cruise?

That stinks-they take you in by the exit through "the servants quarters" (the themed chicken exit after the stretching room)

Call as soon as you have it firm on what dates you can do it. It took me 3 years and several trips to finally not be sold out.

It always sells out. I called 7 months out to get the exact date and time for our tour.

Book ASAP. And definately do the first one of the day. Makes for some great picture opportunities before you set off as the MK is usually empty

I tried to add my mother to our scheduled tour last September at about 4 months prior. It was all sold out. They told me to keep calling for a cancellation. I did and there never was one

I booked this tour for a date in September. I was just wondering when any of you booked, did you get any confirmation by email? Nothing is on our magic bands either. I did get a confirmation # over the phone when I booked but just no written correspondence. I am always a little nervous when I don't see something in writing.

Same here, just the confirmation number on the phone. The CM on the phone told me that I could link the tour to MDE, but MDE didn't recognize the confirmation number when I typed it in. I'm hoping I'm still all set, I'm excited for this tour!

You cannot link the Keys to the Kingdom tour in MDE, according to the CM I spoke with,

She suggested creating a note for your scheduled date to record the confirmation number and any other info you need.

Correct, there is no link to MDE or an email confirmation. Just the verbal number over the phone at time of booking. I wish it were updated to include those like DR's or most anything else is that is extra and booked ahead.
