I heard the utilidor underground is now a restricted area and that that portion of the tour was eliminated since Sept 11th. Has anyone been on the tour recently and can verify this one way or another.

Thanks.

Jon

We saw the Utilidors on our Keys tour in November, 2002. It was great! Carol was our tour guide and she was a big Walt Disney fan. We would have seen more of the Utilidors except a woman on our tour insisted on seeing the 3pm parade and we all had to leave!

Carol was my tour guide in Sept 2002! She was fabulous, wasn't she? I was with two other people so we were lucky enough to have her sit with us (to make a 4 person table) at lunch time, and we got to ask all the questions we wanted. She did a really thourough tour and I had a wonderful time (and yes we did the utilidors).

Too bad that you had to leave because of that one person. Hello, you can see the parade any day, and for the price of admission. How often to you get to go backstage, AND you paid for this privledge. <sigh> some people.

Jon,

DW & I took the Backstage Magic tour in February, 2003 and the utilidors were definitely NOT restricted. It was great, and we also saw a KTTK tour group while we were down there. I hope you enjoy the tour!

Wanted to see the parade---was she NUTS!!! We did KTTK in 3/02, and our guide let me get in the Villains Snowglobe during our visit to the staging area!!! WAAAAAAYYYYY more exciting than just watching it go by like everybody else!

Also did the utilidors at that time!

I was surprised and disappointed to learn during the tour that Disney does not feed its employees! The casinos all feed their employees before, during and/or after your shift here! Since the CMs are "captive" on property during their shift, I thought their food options would be better than a roach coach!

I know! Everyone just glared at the woman:) We missed the costume area but I was so excited to see what we did anyway! Carol was great and we had another CM that worked at One Man's Dream on the tour too-we asked a ton of questions.

We did Keys to the Kingdom tour on April 28th...it was great.

Brick was our tour guide and we did a tour of the utilidors. It is quite a place. I highly recommend this tour.
