We are thinking of taking the KTTK tour between 12/19/05 and 12/2205.

How far in advance should you make your reservation?

Can you change the day of your tour after you make a reservation?

Is any day of the week better than others to choose to take the tour?

Will I be able to get the AAA or Disney Credit Card Discount on the phone.

I thought I read there was a seperate phone # to call for tours. Is that true?

I thought this was a more popular tour. I guess many people have not tried it.

I've taken this tour before, and am taking it again in June, but have always had my DU agent book it, so I'm not sure of all the specifics. Here's answers to what I do know:

**I would make the reservation as soon as sure of what date you want to attend. It is one of the more requested tours, so the closer you get to the actual date, the sooner it will fill up, especially during such a busy holiday time.

**I'm not sure about changing days. I have to imagine if there's availability that they wouldn't have a problem moving you to another day. I'd ask when calling to make the ressie just to be sure.

**I don't know that one day of the week is any better than others, but I generally would try to avoid the early entry day. And I would take the earliest time slot available. It was nice being one of the first few let in the park, and being able to roam around an emtpy Main St before the tour actually started.

**Call 1-407-WDW-TOUR to make your ressie.

Good luck!!

We took this tour a couple of years ago. We vacation in September (which is one of the slowest times of the year), so we were able to make our reservations from our resort room the day before the tour. I would not recomend this in the busier months. When we made the reservation, we had to pay in full with CC over the phone. We were told there would be no refunds or changes permitted (but that may be due to the fact that we booked it only one day in advance). We also took the first tour of the morning, which was really nice, because we got to enter the park before it openned. They were taping a WDW comercial that morning, and we got to see some of that (which was really cool)!

We took the tour in September 2004, and I booked it by calling 407-WDW-TOUR during February 2004. At the time, there was a discount for using the Disney Visa card, but I don't know whether that still applies. They charge your card at the time of booking rather than waiting for the date of the tour, but a full refund is available if you cancel at least 48 hours in advance. After I booked, the Disney Visa discount increased so I called to have the additional discount applied to my reservation, and a credit appeared on my account within a day or two.

Although I'm not positive, I believe that changing the day of the tour should be no problem as long as there is space available for the tour that you want. I would also recommend taking the earliest morning tour on a non-EMH day at MK, because this will allow you entry to MK one hour prior to park opening. Photo ID is necessary at check in, and they will ask for the names of all people in your party. Have a great time!

I have this tour (along with two others) booked for my trip in May. I was told the tours could be booked up to a year in advance. AA and AP holders get a discount. (It went from $58.00 to $49.30.) I don't know about Disney card holders. Sorry! They charge the full amount to your credit card and you have up until 48 hours to cancel. I know you can reschedule it because I just did it last week when the AP codes came out and I added two days to my vacation. If you reschedule it, they will credit your credit card and then recharge it though. The number is 407-939-8687.

They can also do PS for you, as I found out when I asked him to transfer me to Disney Dining. He said no problem as he did both and helped me rearrange my PS to accomodate my new itinerary.

An awful lot of very usefull and interesting information. Thank you all very much. I have to print this page to keep for my files.

i used the disney visa at the end of january to book the tour next week during easter. i could not believe they still have spots left. by using disney visa, we got 20% off! :)
