We have the KTTK tour booked for 8:30am on a 9:00am park open day. We were told to be at Town Sq Theater at 8:15. Just wondering if we'll have a couple minutes to snap a couple pics of/in front of the castle while main street is empty.

I know we have to keep our cameras put away for the tour...just wondering if anyone who's been recently knows if we'll be able to get a couple quick snaps before the tour starts.

Thanks!

We had more than enough time and did that when we took the tour in sept. I think they let everyone with tours and adrs in about 7:55 that day.

You should. I remember waiting about 10-15 min. to get everyone in our group checked in, etc.

We were told go to the left hand side to enter and had plenty of time to take a few pictures. I think the only time we had to put the camera away was when we were behind stage and in the utilidors. Got some great pictures on the Jungle Cruise because the boat only had about 10 people on it.

We had time to take pictures on Main Street before the tour. And the cameras only need to be put away while you are 'backstage'

Thanks everyone! Glad to know that we will both have time for a few pics before, as well as be able to take pics during the tour, with the exception of the backstage areas.

Super excited to take this tour. I'm finally going without my kids, so nobody is under 16! :)

When my Mom and I did the tour in Feb 2014 we were told no photos anytime during the tour so either it's changed or it depends on the guide. We were there on an EMH morning so we didn't get the empty Main Street photos.

Yes, you will have plenty of time to take pictures before starting the tour. The tour guide told us he could lose his job if somebody is seen taking pictures backstage. I just did the KTTK tour a few weeks ago and it was awesome!!!! Lots of good info.

I just took the tour on Sunday and not only did they let us in well ahead of the tour, the tour didn't even start on time because some folks were running late. Youll have plenty of time for pictures.

How far in advance do you have to make reservations for the tour?

I think we made our tour reservations about 5 weeks before our trip, but I guess it's a matter of availability. Busier times probably will be harder to book at the last minute than slower times.

We have the tour booked in April. Can't wait to get some great main street pictures! Another question for those of you who have done the tour. How long does the tour last? I thought I had read 5 hours, but when I booked it they told me 4 hours. We are doing it on our departure morning and I'm afraid it may make us miss our magical express.

Our tour on 2/2 took the entire 5 hours. We began at 8:30 and finished at 1:30. It was a very good tour! We had an amazing guide and we took pictures everywhere but backstage. Unfortunately, it was so foggy the morning of our tour that you couldn't even see the castle!

Thanks! I'm thinking our magical express buss will leave around 2 pm with our 5 pm flight. Looks like a taxi to the airport for us! That's much easier than trying to re arrange fast passes and adr's, lol!
