DH and I are going to WDW Easter Week. We are going to do 2 tours while we are there...Magic Behind our Steam Engines and either Keys to the Kingdom or Backstage Magic. Please help us decide which to do! One thing, we want to be able to take in a couple of rides while on tours, because we probably won't be able to the rest of the week we are there.

Can anyone give us an overview...without giving away secrets that you have sworn not to give away...maybe some of the differences between them? I know Backstage Magic is 7 hrs and goes to 3 parks, while KTTK is 4hrs (?) and Magic Kingdom only. Is Backstage Magic KTTK plus? or is the MK part totally different for the 2 tours? Do you cover the same rides at MK on both?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Are you aware that you will need admission to the park to go on the Steam Train Tour?

Have done the steam train and Keys to the Kingdom. The rides we went on for Keys are Webway, Haunted Mansion, others have done the Jungle Cruise as well. Most of us thought that Keys was long enough. We were aged 25 to 81, there were 8 of us.

I just did the KTTK tour on Wednesday, and it was well worth the money. My tour guide was Kandi who was full of Disney enthusiasm and knowledge. We went on Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise and Pirates of the Caribbean. Lunch was at the Columbia Harbor House (you choose in the beginning of the tour from a menu), and we all received a keys pin and namebadge. Was 4 1/2 hours which was plenty! Saw Share a Dream floats upclose, as well as the famed 'utilidors.' Note that we spent maybe 15-20 minutes in the utilidors. Would highly recommend this tour, and hope this helps!

We have annual passes, so admission isn't a problem. I just don't believe we will be able to do many rides this trip due to crowds and we will be there with DS's High School Choir part of the week. They leave 2 days before we do, though. We thought tours might be a good distraction from the crowds! And in the 8 trips, I've never done a tour.

Thanks for the feedback...keep it coming! If you've done both, which did you prefer?
