My hubby and I would love to do the 27 mile waverunner trip around Key West with our two girls, ages 9 and 7. The girls say that they would love to do it, but I am questioning whether they will be able to hold on for the 1 and 1/2 hours of the trip. Has anyone done this trip? With young kids? How did it go?

Thanks for any advice.

We did this trip last November....best excursion we have ever done. Our family took up 3 Waverunners. DW and I one one with our 9 year old nephew. BIL and SIL on one with their 4 year old son, and BIL on one with 3 year old son and 7 year old daughter. The kids loved it. The bonus for us was watching the Blue Ahgels doing an air show righ above us, they were performing at the local air base but were actually flying right over the top of us, one time they could not have been more than 100 feet, and upside down to boot. The ride at times was a little bumpy, you can go fairly fast at times, but you stop occasionally to have the guide show you some things and explain them. Over all, your kids will love it.

We just returned from a weekend at Key West and we rented two days. One day we had 2 waverunners the next day we doubled up. It is a great tour. THey let you open the waverunners up and we did about 60 MPH. There is a place right as you come off the boat. Island Watersports. Good guys. Say Hi to Tex for us.
