Key to World CArd

Do DVC members get Key to the World cards to which they can charge meals, stuff, etc like when you stay in one of the resorts?

I think not, but wanted to check. We're using our membership for the first time in late August and I just wasn't sure about that one.

Also -- I know the maid service isn't the same as at a resort, but do they at least make the beds everyday (she says hopefully...)

You can get charging privileges on your room key just like any other resort. At checkin they will ask if you wish to leave a credit card for that purpose. No- you're on your own as far as the beds go unless you are staying seven days or more. There is a trash and towel day on the 4th day and a full cleaning on the 7th. Just pull up the covers and you're on your way - you can pay for maid service but I have really found that not having someone come in the room every day is a plus. What size unit are you staying in? We put the towels in the washer in the morning and then the dryer when we return later in the day in the 1 BR and up or take the laundry to the pool while we swim. ( Use of the machines is free although it looks like you have to put money in. Have a great trip- the unmade beds can wait.

Good idea about the towels. WE are staying in a 1BR at BWV. Rented one once before and it was bliss. We were there during an El Nino year and the only thing that kept the trip from being an utter disaster was all that room and the washer/dryer. I actually had to take apart my son's stroller to dry it it was so wet!
