Key to the World Cards?

I am staying at a Disney Resort in August, and i was wondering if the room key was similar to the Key to the world card on the Disney Cruise. Can the Same card be used to purchase items in the different parks and things like that. If so can anybody tell me what it looks like?

I've never done the cruise, so I can't compare them. But they are traditional plastic credit card sized room keys. You can use them to shop anywhere in the World, with the exception of some of the snack kiosk things. (Like the ice-cream carts, that kind of thing.)

it is used the same way. My key to the world looked different each of my last 3 visits but I was at different resorts, I don't know if that makes a difference.
