I know this might be a silly question but I am a little confused about the Key to the World Card and WDW Tickets.

I have purchased my tickets 7 day park hopper water parks and more at the Disney store. I realize that when we get to WDW we will receive a key to the world card when checking in at the hotel. I have read that you now have a finger scan when entering the parks. Will we have to use both cards to enter the park or just the park tickets? I am just trying to figure it all out. We have not been to WDW for a few years and things have changed a bit. This is probably not something to worry about but our trip is getting close and I just want to know all of the details about how things work now. Can anyone please answer this question and clear things up for me.

Thanks,

you will get your room key when you check in, which obviously will unlock you room door, however you can have it also linked to your room and it can become a charge card, which you can used for souvies, food or anything ( i think it was a $500 limit, but i don't remember because i didn't have it linked)

depending on how you're getting your park tickets (either by mail or at will-call at one of the parks) those will be the only things you need to get into the park - yes you will do a finger scan - and you will also need your park tickets to get any fastpasses. the only time you will need your room keys is if you take advantage of the EMH - you will need them to get wrist bands or if a CM has any questions about you or someone in your group staying on property - so those hotel keys are your proof

hope this helps :)

I believe that even though you purchased your park tickets separately, when you check in you can have the tickets put onto your Key to the World Card so that you only have to worry about 1 card. Maybe another poster can confirm this for you.

That would be awesome. I was wondering if we could do that when we get there. If someone knows... I would greatly appreciate you input.
