Key Cards and Credit Cards

I am travelling in October with my adult son and his girlfriend and wondered if we each have a key card, can our own credit card be attached to each key card, or can key cards for one room be connected to only one credit card? Oddly enough, I prefer they pay for their own purchases.

I believe that only one credit card can be attached to the room for charging purposes. However you could arrange that charging privileges NOT be put on the other cards- they can just pay for their stuff with cash or their own credit cards.
