Kevin!!!

I have not listened to the show, missed the chat and am totally lost but I have to say

I LOVE ABBA!!  I have them on my ipod in fact...yes I am pathetic I know it! :rolleyes1 I also have to add I wouldn't admit to everyone...but I think I just did;)

Ever see the movie Muriel's wedding? If you ever want to torture ANYONE have them watch the movie. DH and I saw it before we were married and he still complains about it... :confused3 I liked it...

Mindy

Okay, I haven't listened to the email show yet but it sounds like you were asking about dining alone on your upcoming trip to WDW. Are you still going to be in Disney on August 30th? I will be staying in Disney for the night of 8/30 before my cruise and I am also traveling solo! It would be great to have dining company with a fellow Podcast Cruiser.

Also, the California Grill and Jiko have counters where you can sit and see the chefs cooking while you eat your meal. These seats are generally available without an ADR. These areas are nice if your dining alone because you can strike up a conversation with other people sitting at the counter as well as the chefs. My choice would be Jiko. Their prices are a bit lower and the food and service are excellent.
Although it would be a great honor to dine with a real "Kim", it must be another Kim you're thinking of that will be in WDW on August 30! I'm not there until December, so I guess we'll miss each other by a couple of months.

And yep, the crew suggested those two very places. I'm thrilled with all the suggestions, and will have to try out at least a couple of them. Anyone know if any of these places are open for lunch?

I did NOT say that! Clearly, all you ABBA fans have EACH OTHER to sit with. Us people who appreciate REAL music are also more discerning in our dining partners...I'd actually prefer a drunken conventioneer to someone humming "Waterloo" in my ear over and over!

Okay, if the drunken conventioneer were the one humming ABBA, that's a whole new circle of hell.

(Oh, thanks for the great dining ideas!)

But will you still love me tomorrow?

Remember I'm only one of the real Kims. Sorry I'll miss you Mindy. I'm getting confused as to when everyone is going. Guess I won't get to meet you until the Podcast cruise.

Unfortunately, Flying Fish, California Grill and Jiko are all only open for dinner. Teppan Edo and the Biergarten are other choices that will allow you to dine with others as you are seated at tables for 8. They are both open for lunch but you will probably need an ADR. To be honest though, I'm not impressed with the food at the Biergarten.

Oh wait, I almost forgot. You can also sit at the counter at Beaches and Cream at the Yacht and Beach Club. No ADR required

I thought for sure Pete was going to play ABBA...I wasn't expecting the harp! :rotfl:

If Kevin keeps giving away all the prizes he will need t oplay "Money Money Money!" Ha No,, bring on the prizes! and the ABBA music!!:dance3:

I love Muriel's Wedding!!! Don't you think someone on the cruise should do a reenactment of the Waterloo scene? ;)

It was our illustrious DIS gourmet (for whom this thread is named) who noted (pointing with two fingers) on more than one recent podcast that part of the charm (read: insanity ) of the podcast forum is the propensity for threads to skew away from the original subject with amazing rapidity. (Jason's got the Thesaurus open)

How appropriate is that? In honor of His Kloseness....

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

Any suggestions for new topics? :rotfl:

Here's one: You win Powerball (250 Million) but it's in Disney Dollars.

Watcha gonna do?

Well, I'd start with enough DVC points to live in a grand villa in AKV all year, season passes, daily housekeeping service in my villa.

His Kloseness.

Loves it.:lmao:

And never have I been anywhere where the subject changes faster, with more frequency, or always includes a discussion of Kim and pie.
