Great Question Mindy - I was thinking the same thing for my Sept trip - I will be solo. I do not mind sitting at a table by myself - but I agree, it's fun to talk to the bartender and other patrons. I think I'm going to try Jiko - I've done Boma before and loved it but never tried Jiko.

Thanks Pete - I was wondering about Emeril's I think I'm going to get a car for a few days and check out city walk.

There is a counter seating at Flying Fish. Last year, NC B. and I enjoyed talking to various kitchen staff and watched our meal being cooked.

One Kevin didn't mention is Raglan Road. They have some really great bartenders and they offer the full menu at the bar.


Plus, if you wear your ABBA T-Shirt, drinks are half price.

Jessie loves the oldies and Elton John at night. She also likes Wishes cd and the 2006 WDW official album, but scared of the TOT theme song and parts of the Splash mountain song.

Flying Fish you can eat at the bar without an ADR. I've also was able to sit at the counter overlooking the kitchen one night without an ADR.


Just read NC Belle mentioned this. FF is good though and the Chef is really nice.

Okay, I haven't listened to the email show yet but it sounds like you were asking about dining alone on your upcoming trip to WDW. Are you still going to be in Disney on August 30th? I will be staying in Disney for the night of 8/30 before my cruise and I am also traveling solo! It would be great to have dining company with a fellow Podcast Cruiser.

Also, the California Grill and Jiko have counters where you can sit and see the chefs cooking while you eat your meal. These seats are generally available without an ADR. These areas are nice if your dining alone because you can strike up a conversation with other people sitting at the counter as well as the chefs. My choice would be Jiko. Their prices are a bit lower and the food and service are excellent.
