Kevin - what were those books you mentioned in chat?

Even though I've read both....I'm envious that you get to start at the beginning.

I'm not working on a comission....I just truly enjoyed these books.

I was obsessed.

I'm just a couple of chapters into it....seriously hooked already.
Thanks, Kevin!

I loved both those books too. I listened to them on my IPOD. There was a great narrator for both those books. Is he going to write another book?

Because I already read Pillars, I got World Without End yesterday from Borders. I am excited to start.

I also got another mystery book. I've been looking for a really good mystery series lately. I found one by Childs called The Tea Club Mysteries. I'm an avid drinker (Teavana is my favorite store!) and am excited about the series. The author even includes a recipe from the plot of the book which I think is the neatest idea. I just hope it is better than Mistletoe Murder (horrible!). Because WWE is so long, I'm reading the mystery book first. I'll let you all know how it is!

Hey, we should start a Podcast book club. Maybe I should call this idea in. ;)

Hah, I went to buy Pillars of the Earth and I had Maggie (DD10 princess:) with me.

She said, "what book are you looking for?" I said, Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.

Maggie says, "Mom already has that book."

"Really?" I say.

DD10 princess: "Yeah, it was an Oprah book club selection."

Dana (DW) comes in, and I ask "Do you have Pillars of the Earth?", and she says yes.

So I'm forced to admit that DD10 princess: is paying more attention to what DW is reading than I am. But, I have the book!

I'm a huge book nerd and I go to the public library to get them (otherwise I would be poor). The two books were so great. I haven't read anything else from Follette. Anyone know if all his books are so enthralling?

My 7th grade English teacher recommended those. They are on my list of books to read. (Which is growing larger every time I log on to the DIS)

From what I know, the other books are far different from Pillars and WWE. They are more thrillers than historical fiction like these are. I have yet to read any of them though. I am sure you could find some info on Amazon.

Coming in for a brief break from reading (I've only spent 6.5 hours on it today, and Philip just got his timber and quarry rights, and the lovely Aliena just had a VERY bad day). I'll be done reading by tomorrow night...the first book anyway. Don't have any fun here without me, now...
