Kevin,
Based on your mini-re-review of the Yachtsman, we went today and tried the Wagu beef. Just wanted to warn others that we got one of the last 20 servings so they shouldn't plan on it being available when they go.

I'd agree that its good beef, but I'm not sure its better than the regular filet at the Yachtsman. Anyway, it was a great meal as usual.

I just ate at the Yachtsman a couple weeks ago and had the Wagu just to try something different. I think I would have preferred the filet. About half of the Wagu was good, but towards the end it got very fatty and hard to eat. This might be fine for some, but i prefer a leaner cut of steak.

Jeff! Are you down there again so soon?! I'm very jealous! :goodvibes

I had to Google 'Wagu' (is that the right spelling ? I think it was something else..)

It sounded so good I had to check it out. Turns out there's American 'wagyu' as well as Australian... I'm not sure which is better. Perhaps they are the same, but it would seem to me it would be cheaper to get the American kind...

Either way, it's some pricey stuff !

Our server at the Yachtsman had a menu from the grand hotel in Michigan with her and the Wagu on their menu was $150! Fortunately, YSH charged substantially less. According to our server, the Australian Wagu industry is trying to get established in US restaurants and Disney got a good price.
