I enjoy tea (hot and iced) and cocoa. I have other cocoa drinkers in the fam. I thought about purchasing this just so I have an easy (& good!) cup of coffee for guests, and our family can use it for the hot beverages we enjoy. Would if be worth it if you are not a daily coffee drinker?

Well, it takes up a lot of counter space. If you aren't coffee drinkers I would install a Hot Spot hot water tap. those are AWESOME and fairly easy to install--my hubby did it and he NOT mechanical at all. I remember is being around $150.00 and worth every penny for hot water on demand!

I have not found a cocoa that I like for the Keurig so I would be very careful. I would make sure you like it before you even consider it.

not possible. we have Terrible hard, well water. We have a peroxide & salt system that makes the water useable, but I still can't bring myself to drink it, so........ all consumed water is bottled.

and I was actuallly looking at the personal, mini - that looks a little smaller

I am not a coffee drinker but DH is so I got him one for Christmas. So far I have not been impressed with the hot cocoa either. I was thinking of using it empty for just a hot cup of water to mix in my own cocoa, but haven't tried it yet.
Seems like a lot of money and space if you aren't a coffee drinker, but it is a great machine for coffee drinkers and your guests would love it, plus it would keep your coffee fresh which can be hard if you don't drink it.

I have a keurig at home and another at work but I still prefer to use the microwave for my tea and cocoa.

I would not recommend it just for cocoa and tea and the occasional cup of coffee.

We bought one for this reason also. My MIL stays with our dogs while we vacation, and she brings her own coffee pot over. So we bought a mini, with a 30% off coupon at Kohls it was $63. We had cocoa the other night, it was ok. With marshmallows I think it would be better. I haven't done tea, but I would think it would be ok. But for the guests and MIL I think it will work well for us.
The mini doesn't take up that much room on the counter.

I bought one for my DH for Christmas. He loves it, has gone through so much coffee. He say's it tastes better.

I am not a coffee drinker at all. I love my cup of tea or hot chocolate. I have either used tea bags or swissmiss. The instant hot water is the best. As far as space it takes up the same amount of room at out old coffee pot.

I drink hot tea and cocoa, I also don't enjoy coffee. I was resistant about getting the Keurig, but it has turned out to be a fantastic buy! I like the cafe escapes dark hot chocolate, and I drink a great variety of tea, having one cup every morning and evening, and some in between on weekends! I'm also not fond of the green mountain hot cocoa, I was very happy to find the cafe escapes in dark and milk chocolate.

I'm very happy with the selection of teas that are available -- I have earl grey, chai latte, Indian spice chai, sleepytime, chamomile, mint medley, orange spice, red rooibos -- and that's just what's in my dispenser right now! I tend to stick to the Bigelow, Celestial Seasonings and Twinings teas, but they also have a good selection by Timothy's and Gloria Jean's.

My dh also drinks coffee everyday, so we are using it daily. My ds11 likes the hot cocoa -- but he likes Bellissimo (sp?), not the Green Mountain brand.

I admit I have not tried the iced teas, so I cannot evaluate them.

If you are a daily tea drinker, it is definitely worth it. If not, probably not so much.

Good Luck!

I got one for Christmas. I am not a huge coffee drinker, but love it. I got the celestial seasonings sampler tea, and this dark chocolate hot chocolate from the keurig website. (when I registered my brewer, I got 2 free boxes if I bought 2, plus 10% off and free shipping, so four boxes was $25 total). love the tea, and the hot chocolate. I add a little milk to mine, and whipped cream. yummy! As far as the tea goes....had a friend from England here, and he approved of tea, so can't be all bad! ;)

DH has one and loves it. He is a coffee drinker and I am not. We both do not really care for the hot chocolate - but we like to make ours with a pack and a half normally. The tea is fine, but I could just as easily make it by heating water in the microwave. I actually like it that way because I like it hotter than the coffee maker heats the water.

I have a tassimo and their hot chocolate discs are really delicious. You should go to a store where they sell it and see if they do demonstrations so you can try it out. I haven't tried the Keurig, but I know tassimo just started making lattes with starbucks espresso (they have the gevalia ones, also, which are ok but not great) and they also have discs with starbucks house, bold and medium blend coffees which are really nice for serving when you're having people over.
