Keurig - Tassimo - or something else?

What's the best coffee machine - Keurig, Tassimo, or something else entirely?

We are a two-person household. One of us drinks coffee, one drinks tea, both drink cappuccino, lattes. Normally it's just the two of us, unless we have family over for the holidays then we need coffee in larger quantities (but that's only a couple of times a year).

My husband is decaf while I am not. We have a Keurig and we are both satisfied.

I have a Tassimo and love it! We have a Keurig at work and I think the Tassimo coffee is better.

Having said that, its easier to get the K-cups for the Keurig. I usually end up ordering my Tassimo ones from Amazon. Locally, the only places that I have found a very limited supply are Target, Kohl's and Macy's.

I love my Keirig. They have tea pods, too, BTW. I also bought a refillable pod to use with regular coffee.

We have a Krups and love it!! It has drip coffee as well as an espresso/latte function! It was about $300 but has been worth every penny!

If you like lattes & cappuccinos then I would say Tassimo.. I love love love mine!

I agree with all of this. I bought the Tassimo about 2 years ago and it makes a great cup. I specifically bought it because it was partnered with Starbucks. Now SB is no longer making the t discs However, Seattles Best is so it's all good.


If you want to be amazed, check out how much the Starbucks T discs are selling for on Ebay! Holy crap, I wished I had stocked up. Could have funded a disney trip.

I worked at BB&B for a few years and we sold at least 20x more Keurigs than Tassimos. Mainly because there is so much more variety of kcups.

I just purchased a Keurig (Mini) for a holiday gift, after trying both the Keurig and Tassimo at friend's houses.

The Keurig makes good basic coffee, tea, hot cocoa

The Tassimo has the milk cartridges to make lattes, etc but I found these very "off-tasting". My friend who owns it thinks they're great though...so to each their own!

Thanks for all the tips. I think we're going with the Keurig simply because of the variety of cups (and the fact I can get replacement K Cups at Costco). Maybe I'll put a Tassimo on my Christmas list
