I have a Keurig that's about 5 years old or so. Lately it seems like it's not brewing a full cup of coffee....I did the whole clean it out with a paperclip routine and descaled it. Now I'm just wondering if my travel mug is just making me THINK it's not fully brewing? In other words, I brewed hot water into a measuring cup and it brewed a perfect 8 ounces. Our machine at work brews 6, 8 and 10 oz....so I figured the one I had at home was 8 and 10 (cause who drinks 6 oz of coffee). Now I'm wondering if it is 6 and 8 oz and is working just fine....

Anyone have an "old school" Keurig with just two cup options and know how much each option is supposed to be? I looked on the Keurig website, but this machine is no longer for sale.

Can you look up your model of your keurig to determine the sizes it comes with?

Different versions brew different sizes.

Mine for instance is a special edition B60 and looks like I registered it December of 2011 though it says it was packaged in August of 2011. It brews 5.25 oz (small), 7.25 oz (medium) and 9.25 oz (large) but to tell you the truth I haven't really measured to the ounce what it brews. The water reservoir on my keurig holds 48 oz total so I just fill it back up when the indicator tells me too.

Maybe search for the model number online and there may be a manual out there. Or pour it into a measuring cup and check the ounces being delivered.

What’s the model number? You should be able to find the manual online. I don’t have much experience wither other than the ones in hotel rooms or waiting areas. Those need to be loaded with water for each cup. I think those are the medium cup.

It should be 8 and 10.

See if I got this right... It pumps the right amount when there is no k cup loaded but shorts you an oz when it's loaded?

Ours is about 5 years old and does the same thing as yours. It'll dispense the correct ounces of water but won't usually brew the correct ounces of coffee. I've done all the fixes I've found online, including turning it upside down and whacking it. It'll be ok for a few cups and then start acting up again. I just run brew a 2nd time to get the amount I want. I refuse to spend the money to replace it until it completely stops working.

Ours started doing the same thing, even after cleaning the top with a paper clip. Then I cleaned the filter in the bottom of the water reservoir and it’s been working fine.
