Thinking of buying this for a Christmas gift. Anyone have one?
Thanks!

Love, love, LOVE IT! I found a great website to order all the coffees online which always has free shipping. The best place to buy the brewer is at Costco or Sam's Club. They always come with at least 60 free K-cups.

What was the web site you order from?

The Keurig works great for me. I am the only one in the house who drinks coffee, so it is a no-brainer. It gives me a consistently good cup of coffee, no mess.

I don't find it too expensive, but then I just drink 1 cup a day (rarely 2).

I have mine on standing order from Amazon. I got the Donut Shop from Coffee Lovers for $15.50 for 50 including shipping.

Occasionally I get it from Kohl's when I have a 30% off and get some different flavors.

YMMV. Good luck! Oh yes, I got mine at BJ's. Good deal.

A friend got us hooked and we have had one for almost 2 years and have another in our owner's locker. DH likes a wide variety of coffees and I like strong (Tully's Italian Roast) so we can both be happy! We belong to Cafe Express and have a standing order with free delivery. I just checked online and our box just left Atlanta this a.m. from FedEx! :surfweb:

coffeegiant.com. If you sign up for their emails they will notify you of all their sales (which happen about 2-3 times a week). I think right now they have some boxes of 24 for $8.98 which is a good deal. The boxes at bed Bath & Beyond are usually boxes of 18 for about the same price.

I love mine! I ordered a mixed-label assortment the first time, found out which kinds I liked best, makes a perfect cup of coffee each time.

I love my Keurig so much that I picked up a couple of spares. One for home, one for each office and one for traveling. The variety of coffee is amazing. My Mr. Coffee is so permanently retired.

Anyone tried Folger's Vanilla Biscotti?

I too am considering one of these for Christmas.

Thanks for the information.

Kohls has I think, two different machines to choose from Elite and Platinum? I may be wrong. How do you decide which one to get? Is one that much better over the other? I just saw one at Costco and I'm really thinking of treating myself to the wonderful machine.

LOVE IT!!! I recommend also picking up a "my k-cup" so you can brew your own coffee (I always keep a bag of starbucks or DD or even a can of Maxwell house on hand, so I can brew my own and save a few pennies!)

We love it. We like different types of coffee AND we drink coffee a couple of hours apart in the morning- so it works great for us! BUT if $ is an issue, a can of Chock Full of Nuts goes a lot further for MUCH less!

I have the 'my k-cup' thingy. I was not thrilled with the way it made coffee.

Any tips?

(Type of grind info would be great):)

I used my new machine today, for the first time. I made a cup of Green Mountain hot chocolate which was delicious.

I'm curious about something. When I removed the K cup, I noticed a lot of grounds left in the cup. Is that usual?

I'm thinking about getting one too but was wondering if K-Cups come in a good assortment of decaf varieties? Or, can you use your own ground coffee? I only drink decaf and like the flavored kind. But I'm the only coffee drinker in the house and like the idea of being able to make one cup at a time.

Yes, on both questions. A great assortment of Decaf and there is a small filter that you can use for your own coffee.

If you are making coffee the grounds stay put just like regular filters...the hot choc gets cakey so you can open it and get the rest out that 's what I do:thumbsup2

I have always had that problem with the hot chocolate. It doesn't brew completely. Try shaking the k-cup up first before you put it into the machine. It doesn't always help, but sometimes it does. After brewing, if there is any powder left in the cup, just take the top off and spoon out the rest and mix it into your cup.

I don't buy the k-cup hot chocolate for that reason. Too expensive to have to mess around with it. I just use the Swiss Miss packets and brew the hot water through the machine.

I've never had a problem with it? I use everything from Starbucks to Folgers and Maxwell House. I usually buy French Roast, but I also have some store brand decaf that works fine too.

I've noticed that you can't fill it too full, where it comes out the hole when you screw the top on to the filter. Do you get grounds in your cup? That might be why.
